Q: Taking my iTunes Library on the go? (storage upgrade options)

Whats the best way to take my iTunes library with me wherever i go? Let me go into further detail:

I have about 50 Gigs of music and i have a 64 Gig iPhone 6. Ive had every iPhone to date (minus the 5S) and I've never been presented with the problem of running out of storage until now. I've also never tried to stuff all my music on my device but i travel a lot and not having a song here and there is beginning to make a difference, therefore i want them all. Initially i wanted to upgrade to the iPhone 7 but it is simply uninspiring to me, so an upgrade just to expand storage is outta the question

Therefore i turn to the community for help.

Ive looked into the flash plug ins and there kinda Eh.. Would i be able to enjoy my library just as it is with the drive??

Cloud storage helps but renders itself useless if I'm in airplane mode right? I don't know, thats why I'm here to ask.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO UPGRADE MY STORAGE AND BRING MY MUSIC LIBRARY WITH ME AT ALL TIMES WITHOUT PHYSICALLY BUYING A DEVICE WITH MORE STORAGE?? PLEASE HELP - ANY HELP ANYTHING SUGGESTIONS ANY AVENUES I CAN EXPLORE ARE MORE THAN WELCOME

iPad, iOS 5.1

Honestly, the simplest, most reliable and seemless solution is to buy a device with more storage.  If it helps, gazelle.com right now is offering up to $190+ for a 64GB iPhone 6, unlocked and in pristine condition.  You could also sell it your self to raise money towards an upgraded device.

Any other solution will inherently involve compromises or prove less than reliable or optimal.

I know thats the most seamless solution, as i stated. But its a solution thats not an option.

Im not upgrading to another device that i don't care, that in itself presents yet another problem (can't charge and listen to headphones) just to expand storage .
