Q: Transferring RAW files from MacBook Air

I recently acquired a MacBook Air and am still getting used to it and to iOS. I transferred a large number of RAW files from my camera to the laptop. Now I want to move these to any external drive to free up storage. I am able to open and view these RAW files using Photos and also using DPP4 (canon's photo editor) So the RAW files are definitely hiding somewhere in my laptop. If I try to transfer these files from the Photolibrary anywhere they convert into JPEGs.There must surely be a way to transfer RAW files without any conversion. Any suggestions, please?
