Sep 13, 2016 6:54 AM in response to CtothePby JimmyCMPIT,What OS are you running and do you have any 3rd party utility running?
patch your system to 10.11.6 if you have not done so already
if the problem persists try to repeat the process in safe mode
Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support
and if possible directly connect to your router not connect via wi-fi.

Sep 13, 2016 7:34 AM in response to CtothePby JimmyCMPIT,McAffee is a disaster on all platforms now, not just mac.
if you have any doubts about it John McAffee has made it abundantly clear his former software is bubonic plague in code form. Uninstall it, it's has been well documented on these forms as causing a host of problems from OS interoperability to outright Kernel Panics.
