Q: Photos

How do I transfer my Iphoto library on my OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 to an andriod or PC device. I could not drag and drop directly.

So I had to put the pictures on my desktop and then dragged them in.  is there an easier method?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), Iphone 5S

Dragging and dropping an iPhoto Library to another computer with a different file system may give file errors.

There is not any software anyway, that could read an iPhoto Library as library.

Exporting the images with File > Export and saving them in folders on your Desktop is the way to do it.

Then drag the folders over to the other device.

You can not and it would be totally useless anyway - select all the photos and export using the subfolder format to keep your event structure and move the resulting folders where ever you want to use them
