Q: Apple ID

Is it possible to get your Appl ID correct (i.e. the same)  across all Appl devices and Applications? Over  the last year or 18 Months I have been unable to get my Appl ID password correct, I am in a constant loop of changing password because some device or app, is going to insist that my new password is not correct!

I just changed my password, I now write it down and stick it on my mac! (apple well done on the worlds worst security process! I am constantly getting message from iCloud that the password is wrong and I need to enter the new one. So I copy from the post it note on my Mac and iCloud rejects it? So if I change then I need to change  it everywhere else? I can guarantee that this will result in multiple devices or apps telling me that the new password is wrong!!

I have an iPhone, iPad Macbook Pro, Mac mini media centre and about 5 Appl TV. In essence I don't/ can't use my home media setup (Mac mini and Appl TV's) as its is impossible to get them all login onto to my Appl ID without going though the forgot password loop, which is a never ending process! I had this running for many years no problem, now over the last year, 18 month its a disaster and the Appl TV are all in boxes collecting dust.

An observation of recent times, Appl is loosing its intuitiveness and quality.

I'm sorry to hear of the trouble you're experiencing.

If this occurs again, and it sounds like it might, may I suggest before changing your password again, to log out of your iCloud account on all your devices including logging out of Find My Device.

Change the password, then proceed to log back in with the new password.

Another suggestion I'd like to make, if I may, is to consider reaching out to Apple Support (link at the bottom of the page) for further assistance with this matter considering it has been an issue for 18 months.

Sounds like you've been having a rough time of it. I can understand how frustrating that must be.

Let's try this: take ALL of your devices and log out of ALL Apple services. That means on the phone click on Settings, then iCloud and choose Sign Out. Do the same for FaceTime and for Messages and for iTunes & App Store, etc. Do the same for all of your devices.

Then one by one log back into each service using the same Apple ID and password every time.

When all devices are logged in, you'll be good to go.
