Q: iCloud wont stay logged in on mac

My macbook pro lets me log into my account to use the computer, but does not keep logged into iCloud in settings. So now I am not synced with my iPhone and I cannot text from my mac. I will go into settings>iCloud and when I type my password in, it processes it, accepts it for one second, then goes back to where it is asking me for my password again. Basically I am getting my password correct and it registers it but it immediately kicks me out. I has been going on for a while, I tried it multiple times, resetting my computer, etc. I did change my iCloud password recently and this is when it started happening. I do have the latest software update as of 9/12/16 as well.

You mentioned you reset the computer?  What does that mean, if you don't mind me asking?  Did you restart the Mac?

Yes, I tried restarting the mac on multiple occasions to see if it would fix the problem and it did not work.

Then it would appear you tried the suggestions I would've provided.  At this point, I can only suggest reaching out to Apple Support (link at the bottom of the page) for further assistance with this matter.

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library. Move the following to the Trash and restart.

Close all running apps. Put the following items in the trash:

    1) In the ~/Library/ folder, put the Caches folder in the trash.

    2) In the ~/Library/Application Support/ folder, put the folder iCloud in the trash.

    3) In the ~/Library/Preferences/ folder, put the file MobileMeAccounts.plist in the trash.
