Mac
- Open iTunes.
- From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose iTunes > Check for Updates.
- Follow the prompts to install the latest version.
Windows
- Open iTunes.
- From the menu bar at the top of the iTunes window, choose Help > Check for Updates. Learn what to do if you can’t see the menu bar.
- Follow the prompts to install the latest version.

Sep 13, 2016 2:03 PM in response to samantha290by Milestone777,Make sure you have the latest itunes downloaded that was released today. Then plug your phone into your computer, when it is recognized tell it to update, not restore. It will take a long time to download the 10.0.1 update and restore. The older version of iTunes only lets you restore to 9.3.5.
