Q: Should I replace my MBPR 13" logic board when computer is working fine?

Hi all,

I already went through the Genius bar to diagnosis my Macbook Pro with retina. A few times my USB cable connects then disconnect from the left side port. Technician suggested it could've been the logic board. I've already agreed to getting it changed.

It doesn't happen all the time, just once in awhile in the blue. Do you think it's worth while to change my logic board?

Computer Info:

MBPR13" late 2014

Thanks

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

My personal opinion: No. If it's something that is consistently bothering you or it's preventing you from completing daily tasks, yes. If it's something you can live with, I wouldn't touch it.

If the right side is working fine and you need to connect multiple USB devices, simply buy a USB hub. A USB hub will allow you to connect more than one USB device to a single port.
