Q: Apple TV makes high-pitched squealing noise when in standby

For a while now, my Apple TV (Gen3RevA, iOS 8.1.2) has sometimes made an odd, high-pitched squealing sound, but only when put in standby mode. It doesn't do it all the time, and it's sometimes louder or softer than other times. What should I do?

AppleTV 2, iOS 8.1.2, Gen 3 Revision A

Mine too. I think it's around 8250hz. I have to unplug it then after one second, it stops. It probably has something to do with it in standby mode waiting for the remote to turn it in. I pull the plug and it's gone.

Actually - I WAS WRONG! It was NOT the AppleTV. It was the charger plug for my Bose Soudlink Mini. When plugged in and NOT charging the speaker, it makes that awful noise. I used an app called SpectrumView to analyze it - two wavelengths: audible at 8250Hz and inaudible (to me) at 16000Hz!  crazy!
