Q: Cometchat won't stay logged in

I have tried to use Cometchat on two iPhones; my old iPhone 4s and my new iPhone SE, both with iOS 9. It will log in, but immediately logs out, showing a small dialog box on top of the app that says "You have been logged out." and some text behind that on the app itself, that says "There are no users online at present." which I know isn't true, as I am the moderator of the forum hosting the live chat that I am logging into. Previously I had Android phones, Samsung Galaxy S4, two of them (one CDMA and one GSM) and a Samsung Rugby, and Cometchat worked fine on all 3 of those, on that same forum site. I expect that other members of our forum are using iPhones with Cometchat, but I don't know for sure. I made a post asking about that but no one has responded. I also have sent a message to the Cometchat developers, and received an email confirming receipt of the message, but no answers after waiting several days. I have not contacted our administrator yet, but I am going to. He's rarely on the forum and I contact him via email. But I don't think he will be able to help, since many members are using Cometchat successfully (whether on iOS or Android I do not know, but no one has complained if they are using it on iOS and I would be the only person to complain to). I also tried the Cometchat legacy version but it won't work.

     I have no idea how to get it working but I like to have it to assist members when they have questions or things to report when I am out mobile, so I am looking for ideas.

    I don't have a Cometchat account to log in with to raise a ticket. I'm only a moderator and the administrator recently bought the forum from a previous owner. I have no idea what the account email and password are. This issue is on my personal iPhone which I sometimes use (as moderator) to answer members questions, and also to chat on the forum live chat myself. The administrator is rarely around and has left me to run the forum but I don't have administrator access. I can only email him if I need anything.

    I emailed the administrator and he said the email ID might be me@dylanhailey.com. I assume that's the email ID of the previous owner, if it's correct at all. I can tell you the site URL if that will help but I'd prefer not to say in a public forum.

    I did as you said, but it got me no further. It looks like they are saying that the support ticket has to come from the original address used to purchase Cometchat, and that simply giving them that address is not enough. I sent them the address and the URL to our forum where we use Cometchat, but they said basically the same thing they said before:

    "We are unable to trace any active CometChat license aligned to the email address, using which support ticket is created. Kindly provide us with the email id that you must have used while buying CometChat, so that we can check and accordingly support you with your issues/queries

    We aren't the original purchasers of Cometchat; our admin/owner purchased the site from another person. Therefore we can't open a ticket using the email address of the person who did originally purchase it. I still do not understand what any of this has to do with why my Android based devices (phones and tablet) work fine with the Cometchat app on our forum but my (2) iPhones do not. My old Android phone will still work fine using WiFi (it's no longer associated with any cellular carrier) with Cometchat and my Android tablet (a strictly WiFi model) also works fine with Cometchat on our forum. Both of my iPhones will not work and both do exactly the same thing. I would be very curious to know what identifying the original purchaser and the license information have to do with this. Perhaps there is more to it that I don't know? Can you enlighten me? I'm a fairly technical person, I think I could understand.
