Q: Bounce adds 4 frames of silence to head

We have a single system affected by this issue. When we open the same file on another system, the problem does not occur.

When bouncing audio (in this case a :30 cycle range), the audio within the :30 range shifts 4 frames later (@29.97).

Is there a preferences setting, or other setting that could cause such a shift?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Are you including an audio tail or dithering in the bounce settings window?

Neither. The range is set from 0 to :30, based on cycle select. On other systems, a bounce from the same file is normal. On the affected system, a file of the same length is generated, but the audio within that :30 is shifted by four frames. it is visible when comparing the waveforms of the bounces.

We noticed some other odd behavior when bringing the bounces into a different, new logic file: when we drag the bounce from the affected system onto the tracks window, the cycle select activates for the area where we drop it. I've been using log since version 2.0, and have never seen such a thing. This has us wondering if something is being written into the bounce, but deleting markers before bouncing seemed to have zero effect.

Problem solved. Somehow, the Preferences setting for "Plug-in Latency" was set to "Off".  Changing this setting to "All" rectified the issue.

    Logic : Preferences : General : Plug-in Latency : "All"
