Tap the TV icon button twice and swipe up on all the running apps and then relaunch them.

I had a power outage on Monday, When went to watch Netflix I noticed the same issue. I noticed this with all of my third party apps.
I was able to fix it by installing a new/different free app, which apparently syncs your appletv with your account. Once I did that Netflix and all other third party apps started to work perfectly.
