Q: Homekit Automation

In the new Home app on iOS10 you can share your Home settings with other people.  Can you share the automations as well?  For example I don't want all the lights to turn off when I leave but my family is still home?  Can there presence(via there iPhones) make sure the lights don't go off.

When I look at there Home app on there device the automation tab isn't there.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

No, you can’t share automations. I believe the thinking behind this is that automations are personal and unique to each user and device so they are not an appropriate thing share.

As for whether presence info is available to prevent certain automations from running when other people are still home. It appears that is not available yet.

I think you are right Gino_Cerullo. But that kind of stinks.  The impact is when the main home admin leaves all the lights go off! This is the same problem IFFT has had for years.  Its seems like such a stupid user experience thing and should be high up the priority list for fixing.  Also it becomes a almost permanent attachment and monetization point for Apple right?  Meaning that if you always have to have your phone near you in order to keep your IoT devices automated and responding to actions of your presences or lack of the phone becomes an even more permanent extension of who you are.

It looks like if you share you home event that user can't set there own automations.  The Automations screen isn't even an option in there Home app.
