Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having an issue connecting to 4G on your iPhone. I know how important it is to be sure your cellular signal is working properly. Check out this article for steps If you can‘t connect to a cellular network or cellular data. This has steps to follow for issues with cellular connection in general as well as connecting to 4G LTE.
Cheers!

Sep 27, 2016 8:34 AM in response to norm123by Xjmatt,I have the same issue with iOS 10.0.1 update on Simple Mobile (T-Mobile) no more 4G network and your solutionnodes not help. I have only the LTE and it drops to 3G instead of the 4G network which is missing since the update broke it. If I go to settings general about I get a message stating to install carrier update but it never installs carrier 25.2 update. it stays at carrier version T-Mobile 25.0 Which has to be proven problematic for T-Mobile network. It also has broken my personal hotspot it connects but wont get on the internet anymore which I depend upon for my work. I have successfully downgraded to iOS 9.3.5 since Apple is still digitally signing it for a week or so and the carrier version is back to T-Mobile 24.1. Using iTunes and by putting iPhone into dfu mode, search for the 9.3.5 .ispw file stored in the apple folder on my drive and it has restored the 4G network but the hotspot is still broken due to the modem
firmware being not able to downgrade and is at latest iOS 10 version 4.71.00. I have taken my matter to Apple geniuses at the Genius Bar but they are very unhelpful only offer to trade in my phone for a refurbished iPhone 6 Plus that comes with 9.3.5 out of the box for $320 ofcousre even though it is obvious the issue is caused by iOS 10. I should have never updated it ruined my phone! Now who is going to step up and fix this or replace my phone?
