Q: Moving from iOS10 Beta to iOS10.0.1

Hello!!

I'm have an iPhone 6s+ that was previously running iOS10 Beta.  I did the OTA Software Update to iOS10GM last week when it was released but was experiencing some performance issues (slow response, sluggish transitions and a LOT of space issues) so I did a Restore and Update through iTunes this week with the public release of iOS10.

I didn't have any of the bricking issues that others did, but I'm still having problems with responsive-ness (making up my own words here!!).  For example, I was just typing a message and went to delete a word, but when I tapped the delete button nothing happened. It took 5-6 seconds of tapping with no success before it started acting normally.

I'm just curious if others are having performance issues before I take it Apple Support.

    Hello mbandgeek08,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to keep your iPhone up and running as expected. You were off to a great start troubleshooting with the steps you've already tried. From here what I'd recommend doing is resetting all the settings on your phone to see if this might help to resolve your issue.

What this effectively does is reset some of your settings to factory default. This does not remove any data like apps, photos or contacts, but it removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Touch ID, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy, so you may have to set those things back up after this reset.

To do this please go to Settings >  General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Once your iPhone restarts, go ahead and retest and let the community know if you have any further trouble.

    Best regards.
