Thank you for bringing your question to the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you want to change your iPad password. I'm assuming you mean your passcode but in case you mean your Apple ID password I can provide that answer as well.
To change your iPad passcode:
- go to Settings
- Touch ID & Passcode
- put in your current Passcode
- scroll down and select Change Passcode
- enter your old Passcode again
- enter your new Passcode twice
To change your Apple ID password I've referenced this article:
Change your Apple ID password
If you want to change your password
If you know your Apple ID password and want to change it, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Apple ID account page.
- In the Security section, click Change Password.
- Enter your current password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password.
- Click Change Password.
- Sign in with your new Apple ID password to access Apple features and services.
Best wishes and enjoy your iPad!

Apple TVHi. Is it rejecting your passcode, that you enter normally to unlock the device? Or is it asking for your Apple ID password? If it's the latter, this If you can't activate your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch after installing iOS 9.3 - Apple Support may help. If it's your passcode, it shouldn't have changed unless you restored from an old backup.
