Jun 14, 2016 7:05 PM in response to UshahiFHR42by VikingOSX,★HelpfulOS X 10.11.5 and Pages v5.6.2 have been available for awhile. Any reason that you have not updated to these newer releases?
You do not clarify if you are copy/pasting a Finder .jpg image, or an image from another open application — into Pages. I can tell you first hand that copy/pasting a .jpg image (or even drag/drop) from the Finder works with Pages '09 v4.3 and v5.6.2 on OS X 10.11.5. As there were no OS X or Pages changes on 13 June, what else did you do to your computer (install anti-virus software ) or something else?

Jun 14, 2016 7:05 PM in response to VikingOSXby UshahiFHR42,I am copy/pasting from Finder. I have since found that I can still copy/paste in other Pages documents than the three I was working on before, so I am content to ignore the strange problem, whatever it was, to get on with creating what needs to get done. I have no idea what I did, but suppose it was something I did within those three documents that created the problem. Thanks for being right there to answer so quickly, to try to help me.

Sep 14, 2016 12:54 PM in response to UshahiFHR42by PeterBreis0807,You haven't said where you are trying to paste the images in Pages and also whether you have tried different documents to find whether it is isolated to a particular document.

Sep 14, 2016 6:39 PM in response to UshahiFHR42by hsteinke,Restarting Pages worked for me - although I wanted to make sure to SAVE my document first...which it would NOT do. An autosave error came up as well. So, I grouped my images and text boxes and cut/pasted them to a new document. New version saved just fine. I quit pages, restarted it and re-opened my document, and then was able to insert an image. Hope this works for others too.
