Sep 14, 2016 1:17 PM in response to CynthiaMobesby ChrisJ4203,You can try going to Settings>General>Storage & iCloud Usage>Storage>Manage Storage. Find the iOS update, and delete it. Then go back to Settings>General>Software Update. Make sure the device is connected to wi-fi and power. If that does not work, then connect the device to the computer and iTunes and update from there.

Sep 14, 2016 1:20 PM in response to CynthiaMobesby Demo,I think that Chris has given you very solid advice, but before you delete the download and start all over again, try restarting your phone. It is easy to do and it might jump start the process. It might not do anything at all, but it's worth a try before you start all over again.

Sep 14, 2016 1:23 PM in response to CynthiaMobesby ChrisJ4203,So you are saying that you have done everything the two of us have suggested? It is while connected to the computer and iTunes and it will not verify? What other message appears on the screen? Also, telling us that in the beginning would have prevented us from wasting your time with recommendations that you had already done.

Sep 14, 2016 1:26 PM in response to ChrisJ4203by CynthiaMobes,Sorry...
I've never been able to get the update to verify through my iTunes or just on my phone. I've messed with it all day; restarted my phone, deleted the update, deleted a bunch of memory, backed my phone up to iCloud and my computer, tried again, tried again via iTunes...Nothing seems to be working. I'm connected to a secure wifi and still no luck.

Sep 14, 2016 3:30 PM in response to ChrisJ4203by CynthiaMobes,I tired putting my phone into recovery mode and updating it through itunes, but this didn't work either. It seems to have just reset my settings. My itunes told me it was unable to verify the update.
