It appears your iPhone 5's Photos app is missing a new feature, namely "Memories". I had fun looking through the memories grouped on my iPhone so I'll be glad to help you enjoy yours too!
1. Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- Follow the directions here to make sure Photos App is closed, then reopen to see if the Memories button has appeared.
2. Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- Never underestimate the power of a good restart!
3. How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- If restarting your iPhone didn't help, I'm certain the issue is located in the software of your iPhone. Since I'll be having you erase your iPhone, please make sure you have a recent backup to keep your personal information safe.
4. Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings -- You'll need to use iTunes on a Mac or PC to completely erase the iOS version installed. Using the settings on your iPhone will only remove your personal information.
The first time through, select "Set up as new iPhone". You can skip logging into the iTunes & App Store and iCloud for now. Once you're at the home screen, open the Photos App and make sure it's showing the Memories button is available on the bottom of the app. If it appears as it should, continue on with the last step.
5. Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup -- Use this article to place your personal data back on your iPhone.
Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities and have a great day!
