Q: iTunes Error 2 on Windows 10

Hello!

 

I recently updated my Windows 10 PC from version 1511 to 1607. I am trying to install the latest version of iTunes but it runs through an error ('Error 2') at the midst of installation and a 'missing Apple Application Support error' right after the installation. I ran the installer as an Administrator and conducted a Program Compatibility Troubleshoot yet I can't install/reinstall iTunes. I have also checked the Apple Support pages regarding that error and the same issue appears.

    Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to keep iTunes up to date, and I'd like to help. Whenever we see issue updating iTunes on Windows it can be helpful to remove iTunes and it's associated programs and re-install from a fresh download.  This article will guide you through that process :  Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows

    The article specifies Windows Vista through Windows 8 but the steps will work with Windows 10 as well.
