Q: Ios 10 battery drain very fast due to message background activity?
Dear Apple team,
My iphone 6s plus just update new ios10 since last night but i found that the battery life are much shorter than 9.3.5 and feel warm in palm while in use. I checked the battery usage and found "message" are main culprit by running in background up to 4.9hrs in background while only 3min on screen ? 40% come from there how can it possible?! Is it a bug? How to stop "messages" keep running in background?
Please help!

Did you already try to force restart the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by doing this.
