Q: When do I need to replace my iMac?

My iMac is already 8 years old. It takes a while to start it up.

IMac (20inch)

OS X El Capaitan versie 10.11.6

Processor 2,4 GHz Interl Core 2 Duo

Geheugen 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 DRAM

Better to replace it now before the hard drive fails. I have a 20" 2009 which is also slow to startup. I just replaced it with a 21.5" iMac.

You can see the Migration Assistant app on your Mac to transfer content from the old Mac to the new > Move your content to a new Mac - Apple Support
