Q: How do you delete e-mail from the Lock Screen in iOS10?

In previous versions of iOS, you were able to delete e-mails from the Lock Screen.  Now in iOS10, the only options are 'View' and 'Clear'.  Seems really stupid if Apple disabled this function, as it helped manage the junk e-mail I get without having to go into my Mail and clean it up.

Thoughts?

That would interest me, is really quite stupid.

    Hey there HburgBob,

I understand that you enjoyed using the feature of iOS 9 that allowed you to delete email messages directly from the Lock screen on your iPhone. This feature is still present in iOS 10, but it utilizes the 3D Touch features of your device in order to access it. I see that your equipment tag on your post mentions that you are using an iPhone SE, which does not come equipped for 3D Touch, and this may be the reason that you are unable to access this feature.

As always, we appreciate any feedback that you'd like to provide. You can send your thoughts to us using this link: http://www.apple.com/feedback/

So, in fact - whilst doing us a "favour" Apple have taken away a very important facility. Unless I go out and buy some new hardware?

The SE is less than one year old.

    DIsgusting.

My top of the range iPhone 6 128gb, my iPad Air 2 128gb - both unable to function as before.

A software tweak that's annoying us into buying more products that reallly are not required.
