Q: How to best create a Wireless Network

I've just moved into a property where each room has an Ethernet socket.  I plan to hard wire as many devices as I can but I also want to create a wireless network that will cover the entire property.

There is no single ethernet socket that will mean a single wireless router will cover the whole property.  What is the best way for me to proceed?

I have a new Time Capsule and a couple of Airport Expresses.  Is it possible to use the Ethernet available in each room to create a single wireless network rather than range extending the Time Capsule?

How might I do this?

Time Capsule 3TB, null

The "best" way would be something like the following:

    • Where the Internet feed comes into the home is where the Internet modem should be located.
    • Connect a wired-only router or your Time Capsule near this modem and connect it to the modem by Ethernet.
    • If this location has an Ethernet distribution panel that feeds Ethernet cabling to the rest of the house, then connect the router or Time Capsule to this panel.
    • You can then place your AirPort Express base stations where you need Wi-Fi access by connecting them to the appropriate wall sockets.

Perfect, and I can set each Airport Express up as a bridge with the same SSID and password to create one large network?

Yes. You would then have the basis for a roaming type network.
