Q: Re-configuring ipads (via a cart) to configurator after the admin mac with configuration was lost

Hi.  School admin here.  I inherited a cart of ipads that I can not configure as the mac that had their configurations on has been damaged and is unrecoverable.  I have loaded configurator on a new mac but it will not allow me to configure the ipads.  Im looking for the steps to resolve this.  I am unable to reset the ipads via the local general settings app.

iPad 2, iOS 9.3.2

HI @mojogar. I assume you are using Configurator v1, as v2 doesn't have a database local.

If so, you will need the backup files from the original computer - most especially the Lockdown  folder and the folder in Containers. If you didn't have paid apps, it is do-able without.

Have you looked into extracting the hd from the machine and mounting as as external device?

More info on how if you need it.
