Sep 15, 2016 8:44 AM in response to Csound1by Abhinav4,I checked https://www.icloud.com/#photos.
And it says
Welcome to Photos
The Photos app works seamlessly with iCloud Photo Library to keep all your photos and videos stored in iCloud and up-to-date on the web, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac.
To use Photos, go to iCloud Settings on your iOS device, tap on Photos, and turn on iCloud Photo Library. On a Mac, open Photos, go to Preferences, and turn on iCloud Photo Library.

Sep 15, 2016 9:29 AM in response to Csound1by Abhinav4,I understand what you mean but if I see 900 Photos written in the Photos app then they surely were back up on iCloud and after restore only 50 got downloaded and rest of them are showing white thumbnails.

Restore your backup.
