Take a look at this Apple Support article:

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204051

    Reset your network settings.

Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings

Reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

    • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
    • Press and hold on the Home button
    • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

II've been having the same problem the last couple days.

thunderzzz it's not an issue with a WiFi connection, it's an issue with WiFi on the iPad specifically turning off.

I have been watching Netflix on my PS4 (via WiFi), my wife watching YouTube (again via WiFi), and me playing a game on my iPad Pro. Then randomly the game on my iPad gives me an "Unable to connect" error while every other device is working fine on the WiFi.

Check my WiFi settings on the iPad, and it has toggled itself from ON to OFF. Have tried all basic resets and still have the same issue.

    This doesnt work.

To make it clear: When my iPad joins the wlan-network after a few seconds or a minute all devices, including the iPad Pro (9.7), a iPhone, and also windows devices get kicked out of the network. after that it took some seconds after i am able to reconnect any of these devices. If I reconnect the iPad Pro the same problem occurs again.

I've been having this same issue since I received my Ipad pro in January.  This article posted doesn't address the issue.  While using the internet the ipad will turn off WiFi.  It toggles wifi switch from on to off.  I've reset the network settings several times, used the forget this network option and signed back on, nothing works.  I took it to the Apple Store yesterday and frankly got annoyed.  The guy actually treated me like I never owned an ipad before.  He actually tried to suggest that maybe while I'm using the internet I'm swiping up from the bottom and turning off the wifi in the bar!  No I'm not.   He used the Reset All Settings option and sent me on my way.  Needless to say that I got home and after about 10 minutes online, off went the wifi again.  I've got a ipad mini and an iphone 6 on the same wifi at home and this does not happen to either of them.  There's nothing wrong with my home wifi, modem, etc., it's the ipad pro. I've had the same thing happen while accessing wifi in other places.  Next option is to back up to iTunes and reset the ipad completely.  There's got to be something wrong.  I'm not going back to the apple store to have someone treat me like an idiot.  Since I'm not the only one having this issue, perhaps there's a bug or something in the ipad pro?  Any thoughts?

Same problem here on iPad Air 2 64gb.  Seems to happen in phases, mostly when browsing web.  Hard to find any fixes, most articles refer to wifi dropping, but this is actually wifi being switched off.  Hope someone finds a fix.

I'm not confident someone will find a fix, the tech at the store didn't have a clue how to correct it.  Unfortunately also treated me like an idiot and almost felt like he didn't believe me or that it was happening.

TThey don't recognize it as a problem.  They blow you off and say things like it's your home router/modem, do the reset and you'll be fine, totally reset to factory and it'll be ok, etc.. I've done everything they've suggested and nothing fixes the issue.  So ya, I've got a 1200 dollar paperweight.  I even had a "tech" at the store treat me like an idiot and say that maybe I'm turning it off by swiping up from bottom of the screen and hitting the wifi icon.  This is not my first iPad or even apple product and I didn't appreciate being treated like that.  this iPad turns off wifi regardless of where I am so its not my router/modern.  they just don't seem to believe me and I'm frustrated!

Someone suggested this and so far it's worked for me. Believe it or not turn on areoplane mode and wifi comes and stays on, so far for me. Must be a bug, which Apple needs to fix soon. Hope it works for you guys.

I always run my iPad pro on Wi-Fi and it keeps turning off. They need to fix it or give me my money back. Always been loyal to apple but if this doesn't get fix ill have to get a different tablet.

Reba626's post seemed to help resolve my issue. "Someone suggested this and so far it's worked for me. Believe it or not turn on areoplane mode and wifi comes and stays on, so far for me. Must be a bug, which Apple needs to fix soon. Hope it works for you guys."  I turned airplane mode on and actually had a hard time turning it off again but eventually got it.  Since then my IPAD Pro has kept the wifi on and hasn't switched off by itself.  Give it try.  Good Luck!

    Hi!,

After updating to iOS10, my iPad Pro 12.9 is turning off WiFi randomly. It unchecks the WiFi tab by itself. It never did so before the update.

Have you tried the usual tricks, reboot the iPad, Reset Network Settings? These can erase any old data in memory. They're described in more detail in the first reply to this thread.
