Sep 15, 2016 10:54 AM in response to lllaassby Subiesu,Hi. Some background. I purchased this 'refurbished' iPod Touch Gen 5 from Apple's eStore about two months ago. This iPod started to lose all its battery overnight just recently. I haven't added any new apps. The only apps I use are the alarm feature, occasional gaming and music. I do not use it for email. Losing all its battery power overnight I had to wake it up via the force reset (holding Home and On/Off/Sleep button together for 10 sec) while attempting to connect to iTunes. Anyway, since the 'problem', I have removed most of the apps (via Settings/General/Storage&iCloudUsage), except for 'Battery Life'. I have also set any possible email contacts whatever to Fetch>Manual (via Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendars/FetchNewData). The Fetch New Data shows Off currently. So far I have only one app that did not originally come with this iPod which is Battery Life. This app shows that the battery is 'Perfect' wear level. I am keeping it to keep an eye on the battery as I originally thought the battery is dying on me. Anyway for the past two day I have monitored the battery its losing power all the time. In Settings/Battery it showed usage of 7 min and standby of 4hr 15min. and yet the battery went from 100% (1080 mAh) to just 41% (443 mAh). I normally turn it off (put it to sleep) via the On/Off/Sleep button on the upper right. I normally do not just let it go to sleep without the 'power off' feature. Any insight? Much appreciated.
