Q: iOS10 allows replying to messages without unlocking phone??
Hi everyone,
Is it normal that with iOS10, from the lock screen, straight up upgrade from latest iOS9 release, I can do the following:
Have someone send you a iMessage
Click home button to bring lock screen
Scroll down from top of screen to bring notification screen
Swipe left on the iMessage notification
Click View
Notice the message shows up and actually a keyboard shows up and reply.
Is it actually a feature that you CAN answer someone's iMessages without unlocking the screen? I find this a very concerning security problem and could be disastrous if someone can just open random messages and reply!!!
I notice the same problem when scrolling left on a calendar notification where I actually see portions of the calendar for the day... Someone that does not unlock a phone should not be able to access data like calendar and messages ... or am I over-reacting?
I understand turning off the notification preview for message actually forces you to unlock the phone... but this is not a valid resolution, but a workaround and a problem for those not realizing the behavior by default.
Thanks!
iPhone 6, iOS 10

No touch ID enabled... I just found a website highlighting this very problem
https://www.cnet.com/how-to/settings-to-change-right-away-on-ios-10/
and providing solution:
Limit the lock screen
iOS 10 shows a lot of information on the lock screen that you may want to hide from prying eyes. Prevent other people replying to messages and using Siri from the lock screen by going to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode. Scroll to "Allow access when locked."
From here, toggle off reply with message, Siri and any other relevant options. If you would rather get rid of the widget screen altogether, which appears when you swipe right from the lock screen, toggle off Today View.
I cannot believe this is turned on by default.
