DesktopsIf you have a high-end HD TV, its screen resolution is 1920 by 1080. So you have more pixels on your MacBook Pro 15-in than on your wall-sized TV set. 2880 by 1800 is higher than what would be called 2K.
That is not as high as 4K (which has roughly 4,000 pixels horizontal and nearly half that many vertical) or 5K which has roughly 5,000 pixels horizontal and roughly half that many vertical.
