Q: whats my mac resolution?

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) and the resolution is (2880 x 1800). i want to know is it 2k, 4k, 5k? i don't know to much about resolutions and i would like to know what it is and is it any good

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

    I do not know the answer but I would check first inside System Profile.  If not there, download

    If you have a high-end HD TV, its screen resolution is 1920 by 1080. So you have more pixels on your MacBook Pro 15-in than on your wall-sized TV set. 2880 by 1800 is higher than what would be called 2K.

     

    That is not as high as 4K (which has roughly 4,000 pixels horizontal and nearly half that many vertical) or 5K which has roughly 5,000 pixels horizontal and roughly half that many vertical.
