Q: How can I get a price match?

Posting this question as I cannot find anywhere else to get an answer from Apple - how do I contact customer services?
I bought my son an iPad Air 2 last week (just before Christmas) through the educational store as he will need to use one next year at school. I had assumed that I would get the best price this way. However, today (less than one week later) I have discovered that Office Works are offering the identical iPad for $108 less. I went to the Perth store to see if they would price match but was told that this was not possible for 2 reasons - firstly the price was more than 10% less which they could not match and secondly I had bought it on-line and not at the store so I would have to return it via the online route. I then discovered that due to the the fact I had the iPad engraved (as it will be used at school I thought this would be a good idea), I was not able to return the product and get a refund.
As a loyal Apple customer I am really disappointed that I seem unable to get the best price from Apple directly - especially considering I am being asked to use the product for school use. This is not good and will be letting all the other parents know not to purchase directly through Apple.
I am interested to hear from Apple customer services and any other parents who have a similar experience.
