Q: Siri App Suggestions displays regardless of settings in iOS 10

Hi,

Wondered if any one has seen this before and knows a work around?

I'm unable to turn off Siri App Suggestions, I've done the conventional General>Spotlight Search> Siri Suggestions which I've toggled on and off multile times with restarts, but it still displays.

I've even gone as far as turning everything off in Spotlight search including every app off which was painstaking but it still displays, guessing it's bug but wondered if anyone else has come accross it and may know a work around.

iPhone 6, iOS 10

    Hello John H0,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that you would like to turn off Siri Suggestions. You have started with some great troubleshooting by toggling the feature on/off again, restarting, and turning off everything in the Spotlight Search settings. The next step I would recommend would be to reset all settings. First, if you don't have one already create a backup file. Resetting all settings returns the personal settings to their default settings. A backup will allow you to return your previous settings to your device. After you have reset all the settings try turning off Siri Suggestions again.

Without erasing your content, you can return iPhone settings to their defaults. If you want to save your settings, back them up in iCloud or back them up using iTunes before resetting them.

Return settings to their defaults. Go to Settings > General > Reset, then choose an option:

WARNING: If you choose the Erase All Content and Settings option, all of your content is removed. See Erase iPhone.

    • Reset All Settings: All settings are reset.

    Best Regards

I just was wanting the answer myself and I found it.  If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there's an "Edit" button that lets you remove apps/ widgets (like Siri App Suggestions), add others that you may want to see, and/ or change the order in which they appear.  Click "Done" on the top right when you're finished to save it.
