    After the release date (9/16/16), no pre order is needed. (They may not have sufficient stock though.)

    Tax is not included.

    Chicago tax can go up to 9.75%

    1.0975 x 749 = $822.03

    Be extremely careful about ordering an iPhone not in the country it will be used.

    First, the warranty is not honored out of the country where the iPhone was purchased.  Second, Authorized Apple Service Centers may refuse to service it.

    Additionally, the U.S. does not sell any SIM-free iPhone.  You would have to activate this iPhone with a U.S. cellular carrier.  And if you do not have a U.S. address and U.S. credit card, the store may refuse to sell you an iPhone.

    Tax = 8.15%

    Just like sberman said, I would be careful about buying an iPhone in a different country. If you are planning to live in the US for a while, then no prob. However, if you are returning to your country soon after your purchase, then check with your local carriers first.

    If you buy your iPhone off contract, then it is unlocked. In that case, you can use it an another country.

    The easiest and safest thing to do would be to purchase your iPhone in the country you reside.

    I Think you can pay it in full and this way you get it unlocked and you can use it abroad easily. I did that last  year and it is working fine with me. If you will have a prnolem you can ship it back to apple if it is still within the warranty
