Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like you are using iOS 10 and when you use the iTunes app it freezes.
There are a few things we can try to get the app to not do that.
First, we can try closing the app and relaunching it, then checking if it still freezes.Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Second, we can reboot the iPhone and then launch the app again to see if the issue persists.

Third, if the issue persists you can delete the app and redownload it from the app store.Remove built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS device with iOS 10 - Apple Support
