Q: Is there any way to print a list of artists in my library?

-- one line per artist, and the total number of songs (not a detailed list) by that artist?

Apple TV / iCloud / Match, Car Radio adapter?

I guess you can't do exactly this. But you can choose the view you like the best and then print it.

Best way is to send it to PDF in the print dialogue.

Thanks, Georg.  My personal favorite view is a listing of artists and albums (but no detail song list). It serves my needs perfectly.  But it's >25 pages long.  But we're about to go on vacation with several other couples, and I'd like to be able to just hand someone a 3 or 4-page listing of artists and say, "Tell me who you'd like to hear."  But I guess there's no way to do that, huh?

You could copy and paste details from the songs layout into a spreadsheet, delete all but the Artist column (might be better to use Album Artist if you populate it consistently) column, sort the data, then produce a subtotal for each artist.

Or I could potentially write a script that gathers summary data like the number of albums and tracks for each artist and writes out to a plain text file.

Excellent idea.  Don't know why I never considered a spreadsheet.  Could be that I'm too stupid.  Anyway, thank you!
