Q: when I go to iTunes store icon a song is trying to download and says "waiting". It is stuck there.

What should I do about this problem. On my iPad, I tried to download ITunes Connect yesterday. It didn't work. Now when I go to the ITunes store app, there is a song by The Ramones that is trying to download. It says "waiting" and I cannot get rid of this pop up. I did not order this song by The Ramones. Today, I tried to download iTunes Connect and it worked fine, but it gave me a message that I wasn't connected to any something, something and that song is still there trying to download. What should I do now? Please help me someone.

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, I have Windows 10 64 bit

    Hello Clorey71,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important getting your iPhone working properly again is to you! If I understand correctly, you are unable to remove this Ramones song and had an issue with installing the iTunes Connect app. Here is what I suggest to resolve this issue:

    1. Start with force closing the iTunes/App Store and then restart your device as the shut down and start up process is important to keep the iOS software running properly. Once restarted, then test your issue again

Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    2. If this song is still showing, start with removing the song by going to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage. Tap the Manage Storage option in the Storage section, and then find the Music app in the list of apps. Tap on Music and if The Ramones are listed, swipe right to left and tap on the Delete button.

Check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

    Cheers!

    hi sterling r,

Thank you so much for your quick response. I have done every step you suggested and still the song is there. I want to tell you this: when I go to General and the to Manage Storage, show all apps., this is what I see. Photos - ICloud Photo Gallery 2GB - Backups - Loretta's iPad and This iPad 201.8MB - Mail 4.5KB. I don't see any other items, but these, no iTunes or Music. When I hooked up the iPad after I opened iTunes on this laptop, I received an error OxE800003 and the laptop was beeping and the iPad was changing screens back and forth. Do you have any other thoughts about what I could do now? I am very frustrated and upset by this as I feel so helpless. If I uninstall iTunes, what will happen to all the music I have purchased and downloaded? Will they all be gone? Please get back to me as soon as you are able and thanks again.

Thanks for the reply and for letting us know these steps didn’t resolve your issue. Good news is there is an article on the exact error you encountered in iTunes, so please walk through all the steps in this article to resolve your issue:

If you see a '0xE' error when you connect your iOS device to a PC

okay, I tried this step that you suggested and now I don't see the error I was getting. The problem I still have is that when I click on the iTunes STORE icon, it shows an update at the bottom right on my iPad and when I click on it, it says it is DOWNLOADING a song by the Ramones and it also says WAITING. I cannot cancel it either. I did not ask for this music to be downloaded. How do I get rid of it? I followed very carefully all the instructions from sterling r to no avail. The song is still there. I am getting so frustrated at this because I want to go to the iTunes Store to purchase some more music. Is there a way to get rid of this song or to get rid of iTunes store icon? I downloaded the latest update for iTunes on my Windows 10 PC but was unable to update it on my iPad because of all the trouble I am having with the iPad. BTW my iPad is a third generation one. Is there a way to get the iPad back to the way it was say four days ago when I wasn't having this problem. Please, please help me here and thank you.
