Sep 17, 2016 12:07 PM in response to Matt_Dadby SnickZ.,Greetings, Matt_Dad!
Great to see you're using Apple Support Communities. It appears that the update to iOS 10 on your wife's iPhone 6s isn't working as expected. I'll be more than glad to help. Be sure to test the issue after every step.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- Before troubleshooting any device, I always recommend a fresh backup. It's better to "have" one than to "need one".
1. Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- Never underestimate the power of a good restart.
2. Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings -- If you didn't back up your wife's iPhone previously, you'll need to do so now. This process will completely wipe the iPhone to allow a fresh copy of the iOS to be installed.
The first time through, select "Set up as a new iPhone", log into iTunes & App Store and iCloud. Download some of the apps she's been having problems with and test. If everything is working as it should, continue on.
3. Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup -- Use this article to guide you through the process of replacing your wife's personal information back on her phone.G'day Mate!
