I have a iphone 6. After upgraded to ios 10. The email app just too slow. It just keep hanging on checking and refresh the new emails. It's not usable if you need to get the new email in a timely manner. -

Sep 16, 2016 5:16 AM in response to chrisohara021by joneill,I can't find much about this online. The only thing I found was a quick bullet point stating that people with apostrophes in their names are having issues getting emails to load on iOS10. Lucky us.

Sep 16, 2016 5:43 AM in response to joneillby chrisohara021,Oh wow, that's interesting. I haven't looked online for a day because I had searched and searched and found nothing. Have spoken with an apple engineer who had no idea but is working on it. Hopefully there's a resolution soon

Sep 16, 2016 5:58 AM in response to chrisohara021by joneill,Awesome! I hope they're able to fix this soon. I can use Outlook as a workaround for personal email, but can't use that for work email (which is my primary need).

Sep 16, 2016 2:26 PM in response to joneillby chrisohara021,Yes it's not ideal for me but will get me through. Work email is my primary use too so i feel your pain. Why is Outlook not helpful for your work email?? Just interested

Sep 16, 2016 2:53 PM in response to chrisohara021by joneill,Unfortunately, It's not supported where I work; otherwise, I'd be fine. I have to use the default Mail app (for the next few months).

Sep 16, 2016 3:03 PM in response to chrisohara021by jasonfromvic,Annoying - if a simple restart of your device (hold sleep/wake & slide to power off) doesn't work you may need to remove and re-add the account - ensure to have a copy of your mail from your provider and see the steps here: Get help with Mail on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Sep 16, 2016 8:58 PM in response to jasonfromvicby chrisohara021,Thanks Jason. Certainly did all of those things....and more. Definitely a software problem and I have had contact with the Apple Engineers who were incredibly prompt and engaging. Just no fix for it yet, although the engineer that I spoke with on Thursday was going onto his weekend, back on Sunday, and he was hoping to have some progress by then. Frustrating, but at least the have shown interest in the issue and are trying to resolve it, and for that, I am grateful. Just have to use MS Outlook app until it is resolved.

Sep 16, 2016 9:00 PM in response to joneillby chrisohara021,Thats gutting. But would they know if you used MS Outlook? It's not "supported" as such by my employer, but to be fair they wouldn't know what mail app i was using to download mail. The main thing is to get your company email isn't it? I do appreciate though, that some companies have more strict and enforceable policies than others.

Sep 17, 2016 5:53 PM in response to chrisohara021by joneill,This is awesome! I can at least access my email now on my device. With that said, email threading is huge productivity enabler for me, so I really hope they address the root cause ASAP in an update.
