Q: Metal back separating from screen along left side. Defective workmanship?

The metal back of my iPhone 6 plus has begun to separate from the touchscreen along the left side of the phone. The phone works perfectly and the screen, which appears to be bowed not the metal, remains in perfect shape. The phone is with me at all times, resting on my chest while I sleep, and never exposed to temperatures higher than that of my skin temperature in an air conditioned house. I would not have noticed the separation but for the circuit board edge visible from the lower volume button to the bottom left edge of the touchscreen.

Has anyone else had experience with this? The phone is just out of warranty with no insurance. I had hoped to trade up but the upgrade wizard says No. Any suggestions? I am disabled and on a very tight fixed income. I depend on this phone a great deal.

This sounds like a big problem. I suggest that you should try and get it fixed, which does cost $329 if you are willing to pay that much. If you want to see if you can upgrade, call 639# and you will receive a text saying if you are eligible or not. If you aren't, then you should wait a little longer as you have to have the phone for a complete 2 years. Hopefully this helps a little.
