Q: iPhone 7 Plus Issues

Upgraded to iPhone 7 Plus last night... this morning, I can receive messages but cannot open or reply to them.  My mail will load some of the time, but not all.  The facebook app won't ever load.

Anyone else having LOTS of issues with iPhone 7/ios 10?!

    Hi there, Hoosier987!

It looks like you're having problems with native and 3rd party applications on your brand new iPhone 7 Plus on iOS 10. Congratulations on the newest iPhone and I'll be glad to help you get it working correctly.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- Before troubleshooting any device, I always recommend a fresh backup. It's better to "have" one than to "need one".

Please test the issues you've mentioned after each step.

    1. Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- First, quit all of the currently running applications, then Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- Never underestimate the power of a good restart.

    2. Be sure all of the applications on your iPhone are up-to-date -- On your iPhone, open the App Store then tap the "Update" button on the bottom. Update any that are waiting.

    3. Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings -- If you didn't back up your iPhone previously, you'll need to do so now. This process will completely wipe the iPhone to allow a fresh copy of the iOS to be installed.

The first time through, select "Set up as a new iPhone" and sign into iTunes & App Store and iCloud. Sync your contacts, activate Messages and test. Set up one or more of your email accounts and test. Download any 3rd party application that wasn't working and test. If everything is working as it should, continue on.

    4. Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup -- Use this article to guide you through the process of replacing your personal information back on your phone. Remember to test again after this last step as well.
