Sep 8, 2016 5:47 AM in response to TheAdmiralby JimmyCMPIT,if it's from the carrier you need to contact them and see what they get back on their side. Ive had Siri send messages for me and I've never seen that one from iOS.

Sep 15, 2016 11:43 AM in response to JimmyCMPITby TheAdmiral,★HelpfulI'm confident it isn't a carrier thing, because the carrier isn't the one sending a text message to NULL. Siri, despite getting the dictation and recipient correct in the initial conversation, fails to send the iMessage to the correct contact number. I found this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/watchOSBeta/comments/50li1c/bugsiri_sending_texts_to_nu ll/) where a Watch user is experiencing the same issue, but no information on iPhone users having this problem.

Sep 13, 2016 2:56 AM in response to TheAdmiralby camping moose,I doubt it is carrier unless you live in Alaska. I will be visiting my carrier tomorrow to see if they have a clue how to resolve it. Didnt happen to me until about September 1.

Sep 13, 2016 10:34 PM in response to TheAdmiralby Brodz64,Hey Mate,
I've had this problem too since the latest iOS9 update.
I was hoping the iOS 10 update this morning was going to fix it but I've had no luck.I've seen in other threads that people have had luck changing their language settings to something else and then returning it to the correct one.
Settings > General > Language & Region.
This did not work for me, but try it yourself.

Sep 14, 2016 4:36 PM in response to TheAdmiralby KRSdesign,I found a solution and had posted on another thread... I found that the problem contact has "LINKED CONTACTS" at the bottom of the contact page. One of those linked contacts only had an email and no phone number. I added the missing phone number and the Siri texts started going to the desired recipient.

Sep 16, 2016 12:25 PM in response to TheAdmiralby HyStik,Same issue. Happened after the 9.3.5 update. I updated to 10.0.1 and no change.
However, I was able to fix this issue it by doing a Backup/Restore on my phone from the iTunes desktop app. I restored the phone first as a New iPhone. I added a couple of contacts, sent some text messages through Siri and it worked fine. I then did a Restore from the Backup done through iTunes, signed in with my AppleID, sent some more texts through Siri and everything worked normally.
This seems akin to going after a fly with a bazooka, but it seems to have worked. Maybe it has something to do with the iCloud Contacts backup that was done for the 9.3.5 update. Hope this helps!

Sep 17, 2016 10:27 AM in response to TheAdmiralby matheweis,I think it's a bad contact pointer on YOUR contact in the relationships section. Removing and re-adding that pointer fixed he issue for me (well, my wife, that was how I fixed it for her). Good luck!

Sep 18, 2016 1:41 PM in response to TheAdmiralby paul bresciani,Same problem here. I also tried naming someone else my wife, and when I tried to have Siri text "my wife" again, the new person's name came up, and that new text was also sent to "null." Seems like a "spouse" bug. Other Siri relationships (brother, sister, etc) work fine.

Sep 21, 2016 3:49 PM in response to TheAdmiralby vacantsea,I've been having this problem too since I upgraded to iOS 10. Here's what finally worked for me:
Deleted Facebook
Deleted Facebook Messenger
Settings -> Contacts -> Contacts Found in Apps -> Turned it off
Settings -> Contacts -> Accounts -> Turned off contacts from all accounts but my iCloud account.
I reinstalled Facebook and Facebook Messenger, but didn't allow Messenger to integrate with my iPhone contacts. It's been working fine for me now.
