Q: I've produced my own music and imported it to my Iphone 6. How do I share this music file via email or text?

I've recorded and mastered my own compositions and burned them to CD. Then imported them to Itunes. They are both on my Mac and Iphone 6. I'd like to know how to send an individule song to friends and family for review. How can I do this via Apple Music or Itunes? These are MY original songs.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.5

I tried and see no way to do this out of a iPhone.  I quickly found you can share Apple Music tracks, but using the same steps on tracks from a friend's band the share option does not appear.

Easiest way is using your computer and attach them to an email, assume you have the songs there. You may be able to use iMessage in you computer if you have it setup and your only option with some people is to text them.

Of course you'll have to drill down into the iTunes folder and find the songs (easy) if that is the only place you have the file, and don't use iTunes for this.  just go to the iTunes folder which is by default inside the Music folder, look for the iTunes Media folder And the Artist name of the files and on in to the audio file...

When you share a song using the Music app on your phone, you are not sending the file, but rather a playable link to the song from iTunes/Apple Music, so it is not possible to send music that is not currently available on iTunes/Apple Music. You will have to send the file from your Mac. It should be as simple as dragging and dropping the song from your iTunes Library to an email.

You cannot send files from the music app.

    Sorry.
