Q: I was upgrading to El Capitan and the electricity went off and stopped the session.  I don't have time to continue for 12 hours.  It's on Resume.  How can I cancel until I have more time?

    Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important being able to finish your update to El Capitan at a later time! The good news is you can just delete the “Install OS X” installer app in the Applications folder on your Mac. Then you can open the Mac App Store when you're ready to update and start the download again from the Updates tab or by searching the Mac App Store for El Capitan.
