Q: No sound from Logic Pro X or 9

Hi,

Something has gone wrong for me with both Logic 9 and X.

When I load the application I get a little audio pop, this pop then happens when I try to play any of my saved projects.

The project plays and even the volume displays show audio but I am not getting any sound. Just a pop at the

I have just done a firm ware update for my Saffire pro 14. That hasn't helped.

I have looked at my settings and everything seems to be ok. Please help!

Should I uninstall and re download if that it is possible...

Thanks,

Malcolm

Go to the Logic Pro X menu, to Preferences, to Audio, what is set there?  Also what is set as the output for audio in System Preferences?

Both are set up to use my audio interface. I have sound with everything else. Music etc plays fine through my device.

When I load Logic I get an audio pop. It's as though an audio driver is missing or something ?

Logic was fine up to yesterday. I have only recently upgraded to Logic X...

I will see if I can get a Video of what is happening up.

What version of Logic X are you running?

    Presuming v9 is 9.1.8

What version of OS X are you running?

At this stage there's very little point in re-installing the apps themselves.

    Make that: no point whatsoever.

That all seems fine.  I'd verify in System preferences that Safire is set as the Input device, also.

Are you SURE you have the Input Monitoring button on all tracks turned OFF?

Feedback when a MIDI track is enabled bothers me.  Not sure what would cause that.  Nothing from what I understand.  But I see you have Soundflower drivers installed.  Why?  If you need them for something, keep them.  If not, uninstall them.  I and others have had issues with them in the past.

And yes, verify you are running OS X 10.11.6, and LPX 10.2.4.

I'm also not a fan of running legacy Logic with LPX.  Technically nothing wrong with that, just personal preference.

I'm looking around in Logic for something that would cause that feedback.

    Hi Guys,

    Thanks for the responses.

I have found out what my issue is, I don't understand it but do know why I have no sound.

It would seem that if I uncheck the load last project option I don't have a problem. If I use it I get no sound?

So I am not using that option.
