Q: built-in camera macbook pro not working

I have a really old MACBOOKPRO from 2011.  I was afraid I was going to be out of luck with this fix....But IT WORKED!  Thank you!

I tried: "sudo killall VDCAssistant" and received the following response:

There is a symbol of a 'key' following 'Password:'.

I'm not on a network - so no 'System Administrator'.

Any suggestions?

when i enter the command in terminal i get the same error" No matching processes were found" what should i try next to fix the camera?
