Thanks for posting here in the Apple Support Communities. I see that your music app will not open after updating to iOS 10. That is certainly unexpected. I know music is very important in my life. I will be more than happy to help.
To start I would suggest by forcing the Music app to close and restarting the phone:
Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Next if the issue persists and since the Music app is built in, the best bet is going to be to back up your iPhone and restore as new. This will isolate what is causing this problem.
If you are able to open the music app after setting it up as new, then you can restore from your back up. If for some reason after restoring from your back up, the music app doesn’t open again, there may be something in the back up causing the problem. If that is the case, you will want to restore as new and manually restore your information from iCloud. Below are all the articles that you’ll need to help with this:
