Sep 16, 2016 7:45 PM in response to GDGONGDUIby sterling r,Hey there GDGONGDUI,
I see from your post that your iPhone isn't displaying your B&W A5 speaker in the AirPlay list. To help resolve this issue please follow through the steps outlined below:
Get help with AirPlay and AirPlay Mirroring on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touchDon't see the AirPlay device that you need? Here's what you should check:
- Make sure that you plug in and turn on the AirPlay device that you want to stream to.
- If you're streaming to an Apple TV, make sure that AirPlay is turned on in Settings > AirPlay.
- If your Apple TV uses Ethernet,* check that the cable is plugged into the router that you use for Wi-Fi.
- On your iOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and check that you're on the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or other AirPlay device.
- Check the same thing on your Apple TV (or other AirPlay device):
- For Apple TV (4th generation), go to Settings > Network. Check that you're on the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device.
- For Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), go to Settings > General > Network. Check that you're on the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device.
- If you still need help, contact Apple Support.
Cheers. -
Sep 17, 2016 10:39 AM in response to GDGONGDUIby rcmcdonald,I have the same problem here. it seems to be an iOS 10 issue. My iPhone 6s which is on iOS 10 only lists apple TV under AirPlay locations. My iPad running iOS 9 is able to see appletv and other locations. All devices are sharing the same wifi network.
Aby ideas?

Sep 17, 2016 6:18 PM in response to rcmcdonaldby silvergc,★HelpfulI was having the same problem and finally figured it out with help from a hint in the first reply to the original post. The first menu when you swipe up from the bottom is for airplay mirroring. In other words, putting the iPad display up on an Apple TV. This is a change from iOS 9. A left swipe will bring up the airplay audio menu which should show all compatible devices.

Sep 18, 2016 12:42 AM in response to GDGONGDUIby dirk118,Had the same problem with a Logitech UE Speaker: IOS9-devices show the speaker in Airplay list, IOS10 devices don't. Swiping left on the list of devices shows another list of audio Airplay options. Thanks to silvergc!
Why Apple did something strange like this: I don't understand.

Sep 18, 2016 12:51 AM in response to silvergcby davidteeh,Thanks for the hint. This may work on the iPad but sadly it does not work on the iPhone.
iOS 10 is showing on the iPhone only swipe up/down but left/right is not working. For me it shows only the display sync option for my Apple TV but the audio sync for AirPort Express is missing. With iOS 9 everything is fine.

Sep 19, 2016 7:10 AM in response to GDGONGDUIby Ryxer,I also can't send anything to my soundtouch speakers since I downloaded the last iOS update. I was on the Beta this summer for iOS 10. It wasn't working at first, but since update 4 I think it was working fine in my house with all my soundtouch speakers. Now none of our iOS devices in the house are working with airplay for the sound.

Sep 20, 2016 2:38 PM in response to GDGONGDUIby fl3625,Yeah, looks like Apple took out that functionality. You can only Airplay to their Music app or Airplay to an AppleTV.
