Q: Apple Watch Series 2 not available in stores?

I stopped at my local store also and talked with an employee that stated they were sold out but I could check the store website at 8am tomorrow to see if they received any overnight. I didn't ask specifics so I'm trying to figure out where to look. The online Apple Store shows unavailable for pickup . I'm hoping that will change tomorrow. As the model I want shows 3-5 weeks for delivery.

Sep 17, 2016 2:59 PMby Dj Cj,I Was actually able to reserve a Series 2 Stainless Steel with link and today... however, I randomly checked the Apple Store app at 7am and they had a couple models available at different stores. I would check first thing in the morning and throughout the day. Chances are slim but you might snag one like I did! Best of luck.

Sep 17, 2016 6:30 PMby Paul Conaway,Thanks. The Apple employee that I talked to on Friday said they update inventory at 8am or so. I agree that early in the morning is when I'm going to check. Hopefully it won't take more than a week or so.
Dj, I do have a question. Is this your first Apple Watch? If not, do you have any experience with the sport bands?

Sep 17, 2016 9:12 PMby Dj Cj,Yeah, I'd recommend checking earlier than 8am (PST). I was actually able to see the pick up option on both the Apple Store app and online.
Bit to answer your question, this is my second watch. I actually really prefer the sport bands, since they're comfortable and better for exercising of course. I actually don't like the stainless steel link band, as it can pinch my skin and get uncomfortable in warm sticky weather. I like the brown leather band and black sport band. But everyone has their preference!

Sep 18, 2016 8:36 PMby mayaclam,We were in line at 5am on the 16th, and 7:40 am they came and told us that there were no Apple Watches in stock and there was no need for us to keep waiting. My local Best Buy also told me that had not received any stock. It just seems like for a launch, they didn't have anything to launch.

Was eventually told the store did not even receive any 42mm watches to sell so we left. Arrived in CA around 10 AM and checked 4 stores all with no in-stock inventory. Awesome launch day indeed.

Checked currys wwebsite earlier and a few of the series 2 watches are available for home delivery so place an order and it's apparently getting delivered tomorrow.
