Q: How do you delete all emails at once with iOS 10?

I can't find an option to delete all email like there was in iOS 9? Has anyone figured out how to do this?

iPad Pro, iOS 10

No, there is no delete all until you marked the post(s).

That option is too dangerous for everyday use, people do make mistake.

In iOS 10, when you choose to Mark All posts, you no longer have the ability to Delete All. (The feature was available in iOS 9 and I think it was also available in iOS 8.) I hope they return this feature because I have more non-essential email than I do essential email. When I have about 50 email messages a day and only 10 are essential, it's great swiping through the list, reviewing the ones I really want to review and the mark all and delete all.  Now, with iOS 10, I have to open each one individually and delete individually.  It's very inefficient.

I'm sorry......... It's dangerous to delete emails?

I want this phone to work for me, not the other way around. I ignorantly just upgraded to 10 and now the delete all button is gone.

Tell me how to delete 7, 000 emails at once. Not one by one. And, I don't want them to boomerang back from my e-mail provider to my iphone.

Unless you are using an ancient POP email account you can delete all you want to on your computer, it will replicate on your phone. (IMAP and Exchange accounts only)

Here is a workaround until Apple restores the  Select All - Delete functionality in iOS 10:

    1. Open the inbox you wish to delete all

    2. Tap edit (top right corner)

    3. Tap to select any email (this will enable the move functionality)

    4. Tap & Hold "Move" (bottom center)

    5. While holding "Move", tap to de-select the email from step 3 (you are doing this so all emails, not just the selected email get moved)

    6. Release "Move" (this will bring up a list of destinations to move your mail

    7. Tap "Trash" or "Archive" to move all messages to the respective destination

It's convoluted, but a workaround nonetheless.

That defeats the purpose of having iPhone mail.

Holy moly, that is a helluva workaround, B.Deis!! Until the Delete All feature is returned, your workaround sure beats selecting each one individually to delete!

Only to you, fortunately most people are not you and can deal with it very well.
