Q: iTunes audio list blank in iMovie iMac app.

Hi Guys,

I want to input a song from iTunes into an iMovie Project on my iMac but the iTunes list in the Audio Menu is always blank. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iMovie but my iTunes Songs will not list. I subscribe to Apple Music and have around 4,000 songs Apple Music/Purchased. I have an iPad Air and the iTunes songs list in the iMovie iPad app. I just can't get the songs to list on the iMac app. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), iOS 10

    Hi,

Look in the iTunes advanced preferences on the iTunes website and make sure the box "Share iTunes Library XML with other applications" is checked.

Your Music folder in your iMac finder should have this iTunes folder in it:

You may need to restart your computer.   Then see if your iTunes song list appears in your iMovie app.  In your project screen, you need to click on Audio and then on the iTunes icon displayed on the upper left side of the screen.

    Hope this helps.
